To most of the people’s belief, orchids produce large, colorful and attractive flowers but it is not true with most of them. The majority of the orchids produce small flowers which may not be colorful and attractive unlike the members of the subtribe Goodyerinae, which usually produce small, less-attractive flowers.
But some of them have developed beautifully reticulated to mottled foliage which are highly attractive and often called as ‘Jewel orchids’, pertaining to the silver or golden coloured markings.
